2024 Health Fair Recap
Delaware’s Largest Healthcare Event: Abundant Life Community Development Corporation Success on August 10, 2024, New Castle, DE
Delaware witnessed one of the largest healthcare events of the year, hosted by the Abundant Life Community Development Corporation.
This event brought together over 30 vendors, including but not limited to LabCorp, Christiana Care Healthcare System, AmeriHealth Caritas, Westside Health, YMCA, and Delaware First Health, to provide essential health services and resources to the community.
The event offered a wide array of free services, including health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, vision, comprehensive metabolic panel, and more. Attendees also received free, clothing, food, and haircuts, creating a one-stop opportunity to address critical social determinants of health (SDOH) barriers. This landmark initiative reached over 500 individuals. in a single day, connecting them with vital resources and offering follow-up care for those identified as being at health risk.
